8.1. Знак Гренадерского саперного Его Императорского Высочества Великого Князя Петра Николаевича батальона.

8.1. Badge of the Grenadier Sapper Battalion of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich.

Киверный герб, состоящий из двуглавого орла, увенчанного Императорской короной и опирающегося на фи гурный щиток. На груди орла щиток с Московским гербом, а на крыльях вензели Императоров Павла I и Николая II, увенчанные Императорскими коронами. На фигурный щиток наложены скрещенные топоры, на месте их пересечения пылающая граната с Императорской короной, наложенной на факел. На гранате вензель Великого Князя Петра Николаевича в виде буквы «П». Нижний край фигур ного щитка прошит 8 выпуклыми заклепками, между которыми выпуклые даты «1797— 1897».

Весь знак серебряный.

Kiva coat of arms consisting of a double-headed eagle beneath the Imperial crown resting on a small figurative shield. On the eagle's breast is a small shield with the Moscow coat of arms and on its wings the cyphers of Emperors Paul I and Nicholas II beneath gold Imperial crowns. On the figurative shield are crossed axes at the point of intersection of which is a blazing grenade with the Imperial crown on a torch. On the grenade is the cypher of Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich in the form of а «П» (Р). The bottom edge of the figurative shield is woven with 8 raised rivets between which are the dates «1797—1897».

The whole badge is silver.

Серебряный крепостной бастион, покрытый эмалью черного цвета, с крепостным валом, покрытым эмалью белого цвета. Скаты вала покрыты эмалью красного цвета. В центре бастиона расположен серебряный вензель Великого Князя Петра Николаевича. На боковых уступах бастиона золотые даты «1864» и «1914». На нижнюю часть бастиона наложены скрещенные серебряные топоры и серебряная пылающая граната. На гранате золотая римская цифра «L». Знак увенчан серебряной Императорской короной.

Silver fortified bastion covered in black enamel with a fortified rampart covered in white enamel. The slope of the rampart is covered with red enamel. In the centre of the bastion is the silver cypher of Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich. On the lateral edges of the bastion are the gold dates «1864» and «1914» and on the lower part are silver crossed axes and a silver blazing grenade. On the grenade is the gold Roman numeral «L». The badge is surmounted by the silver Imperial crown.

Золотой Мальтийский крест, покрытый эмалью белого цвета. На крест наложен серебряный оксидированный двуглавый орел, увенчанный тремя золотыми Императорскими коронами. В когтях орел держит лавровый венок и факел со свитком. На крыльях орла золотые вензели Императоров Александра I и Николая II, увенчанные золотыми Императорскими коронами. На груди орла помещен золотой овальный щиток, покрытый эмалью красного цвета, с золотой цифрой «С». Из-под щитка ниспадают золотые ленты, покрытые эмалью красного цвета, с золотыми датами «1816» и «1916». Под хвостом орла расположены два скрещенных серебряных топора, а на хвосте - золотая цифра «8». На нижнем луче креста золотые надписи «1П» (слева) и «1С» (справа).

Gold Maltese cross covered in white enamel, on which is laid a silver oxidized double-headed eagle beneath three gold Imperial crowns. In its claws the eagle holds a laurel wreath and a torch and scroll. On the eagle's wings are the gold cyphers of the Emperors Alexander I and Nicholas II, beneath gold Imperial crowns. On the eagle's breast is a small gold oval shield covered in red enamel with the gold numeral «C». From beneath the small shield gold ribbons are falling, covered in red enamel with the gold dates «1816» and «1916». Beneath the eagles tail are laid two crossed silver axes and on its tail is the gold number «8». On the lower ray of the cross is the gold inscription «1 П» (1 P) (to the left) and «1 C» (1 S) (to the right).

Знак аналогичен 3.5.5, но на ленте расположены даты «1881» и «1906» и надпись «1-ый ЖЕЛ. ДОР. БАТАЛ.», выполненные эмалью черного цвета.

The badge is the same as 3.5.5 except that the ribbon bears the dates «1881» and «1906» and the inscription «1-ый ЖЕЛ. ДОР. БАТАЛ.» (1st RAILROAD BATAL.) in black enamel.

8.5. Знак 1-го Железнодорожного полка.

8.5. Badge of the 1st Railroad Regiment.

Знак аналогичен 3.5.5, но на ленте надпись «1 ЖЕЛЪЗНОДОРОЖНЫЙ ПОЛКЪ», выполненная эмалью черного цвета.

The badge is the same as 3.5.5 except that the ribbon bears the black enamel inscription «1 ЖЕЛЪЗНОДОРОЖНЫЙ ПОЛКЪ» (1 RAILROAD REGIMENT).
